The same case in twelve phone models and four colours. If the variants are messy, buyers order the wrong one and you pay for the return.
Was the charger opened, used or swapped for an older one? Without a record of what went out, every return becomes an argument.
Launch offers, bank offers on the gateway, bundle prices. Updating hundreds of prices by hand leads to mistakes that buyers spot first.
Cash on delivery
A confirmed COD order is delivered and remitted, or comes back to you. A quick confirmation and a fast reply to a failed attempt save most of the cost.

How ShopenUp fits
Cash on delivery works on day one as a manual payment method. Rules such as a COD limit by order value or pincode, or a confirmation step before dispatch, are built for you.
Phone model, colour and length as attributes, so each variant is its own SKU. Buyers pick their exact model, and so does your packer.
Order history, partial fulfilment and refunds are kept against the order. Serial number capture at packing, if you need it, is a custom module.
Basic discounts and price management on day one, and bulk updates through the API, or a custom import, when a whole range changes.

Getting started
An example
A brand sells chargers, cables and phone cases, with about half its orders on cash on delivery. On ShopenUp, every case is a variant by phone model and colour, so the packer picks the exact SKU. The team adds a custom step, built on 2good.dev terms, that holds COD orders above a set value until the buyer confirms on a call. Returns are logged against the order with photos at receipt, so a disputed charger can be checked against what was packed.
Illustrative example with sample data.

Questions
Cash on delivery works on day one. Rules that switch it off above a value, for certain pincodes or for repeat refusers are built for you as a custom module, scoped in writing first.
Not out of the box. A serial or IMEI field filled at packing, and shown on the invoice and in the order history, is a common custom module.
ShopenUp runs your own store. Pushing stock and orders to and from a marketplace is integration work we can build, scoped and quoted before any work starts.
Refunds are recorded against the order in ShopenUp and processed through the payment gateway you use, back to the buyer's original method where the gateway supports it.

Cash on delivery still wins orders in India, and every refused parcel costs you shipping both ways, packaging and stock stuck in transit. Measuring return to origin properly shows which controls reduce it without turning genuine buyers away.
