Payment gateway integrations
Connect the gateway you choose, and the methods it offers, such as cards and UPI, appear at checkout. Card data is handled by the gateway, which carries its own PCI DSS obligations, so card numbers stay off your store.
Features · Payments and checkout
Checkout connects to the payment gateway you choose and also accepts manual payments such as bank transfer or cash on delivery. Simple discounts and price changes are set from the admin, and anything more involved is built to your rules.
A moving band of sample orders from Indian cities, with the item, amount, payment method and status. The orders are made up.

The problem
A spice seller takes UPI from one buyer, a bank transfer from a hotel kitchen and an international card from a buyer abroad. The money lands in different places, and at month end someone sits with bank statements trying to work out which payment belongs to which order. Discounts are promised in chats and nobody remembers who got what.

An example
A Kochi family business sells cardamom, pepper and spice blends to households across India and, more and more, to Indian families in the Gulf. They connect one gateway for cards and UPI, offer bank transfer for hotel and restaurant buyers who order in bulk, and run a festive discount. Overseas buyers want to see prices in their own currency, which is a built module, so they launch in rupees first. Whether to price abroad in dirhams, and how to handle exports and GST on those sales, is a call they make with their CA before we build anything.
Illustrative example with sample data.

Payment gateways in India look alike on their pricing pages and differ a great deal in onboarding, settlement, refunds and support. A good choice rests on what to compare, which documents to prepare, and where the platform's job ends and the gateway's begins.
