About moving
How long does a move take?
It depends mostly on the size and state of the catalogue and on any custom work. A tidy catalogue moves quickly; one spread across sheets needs cleaning first. We give you a dated plan after the first call.
Will we lose our Google rankings?
Rankings often wobble for a few weeks after any move, even a careful one. One hop redirects for every old address, kept titles and a submitted sitemap give search engines what they need to catch up.
Do we have to close the old store during the move?
The old store keeps selling until the domain switches. We agree a quiet time for the switch and a short freeze on product edits before it.
What does a move cost?
Setup on a managed plan is discussed in the first call. Anything that needs building, such as a complex import or a custom module, is quoted in hours at INR 199 an hour and paid after you accept it.
