RTO loss calculator

A COD parcel that is refused or never reached costs you forward shipping, return shipping, packing material, and sometimes the product itself. Enter your monthly orders and rates to see the loss in rupees, and what a lower RTO rate would save.

How this works

What the tool is based on

  • COD orders are your monthly orders times your COD share. Returned parcels are COD orders times your RTO rate.
  • Each returned parcel costs forward shipping, plus return shipping, plus packing, plus the share of products that come back damaged times the product cost.
  • The saving shows what the same month would cost at the lower RTO rate you choose.
  • The result is indicative and uses only your inputs.

Cash on delivery

Where a COD parcel can go, and what each path costs.

A confirmed COD order is delivered and remitted, or comes back to you. A quick confirmation and a fast reply to a failed attempt save most of the cost.
